In the book of Esther we see that before Esther was presented to the king she had to go through a preparation process.
Esther 2:12 Each young woman's turn came to go in to King Ahasuerus after she had completed twelve months preparation, according to the regulations for the women, for thus were the days of their preparation apportioned: six months with oil of myrrh, and six months with perfumes and preparations for beautifying women.
As a woman that has been trusting in God for marriage, one of the many ways He has been preparing me is by taking care of my overall appearance and health skin included. In this month's newsletter I want go over different types of products and their benefits for your skin.
Although aging is inevitable there are many different products out there that can slow down the signs of aging like hyperpigmentation, fine lines, wrinkles, melasma, dull skin or visible pores. With consistency these products can increase collagen, cell turn over, hydration, barrier function and elasticity, which will lead to overall glowing skin.

SUNSCREEN
The sun's ultraviolet rays are responsible for 80% of facial aging such as sagging skin, wrinkles, sunspots, melasma and hyperpigmentation. Sunscreen helps to prevent sunburns,
DNA damage and signs of premature aging . It also helps you maintain an even complexion. The two most popular forms of sunscreen are chemical and mineral .Chemical sunscreen absorb the UV rays, changes it into heat and releases the heat from your skin so it takes a little longer . Mineral sunscreen blocks UV rays and UVB rays immediately. Both require frequent application.

Prescription strength like tretinoin is available through prescription in the US. Retinol has been proven to treat fine lines, wrinkles, acne, uneven skin texture, melasma, hyperpigmentation and other forms of sun damage. It's better to start with a lower strength and then work your way up to your skin's tolerance. It's recommended, to be used as part of your night time routine, since the active ingredients can increase sun sensitivity.
